Burning hydrogen produces no greenhouse gases, but can have a higher risk of fires and explosions. Liquid ammonia is an easier and safer way to store and transport hydrogen than pure hydrogen. Ammonia can either be converted back to hydrogen or burned directly. The combustion of ammonia also produces no greenhouse gases. Ammonia has a low fire and explosion risk, but is highly toxic.

We have the expertise to assess the hazards of hydrogen and ammonia. We provide decision support and ensure that projects meet relevant regulatory requirements. We also work with organizational development and management consulting.

Risk management is at the heart of how we go to work every day to make a difference – so that our customers make better decisions, reach their goals and solve society’s challenges. For decades, Proactima has supported companies looking to establish themselves on the Norwegian continental shelf and within new energy – and we stand ready to assist new and established players in Norway.

Proactima has experience from many sectors of the energy industry and we bring best practices across other sectors into the hydrogen industry. We do this through a risk-based approach where we first need to understand what is important and then prioritize correctly. We are multidisciplinary and can provide the necessary professional expertise along the way, and all the way to the finish line. Secondly, our consultants make real and tangible contributions to the projects, contributing with implementation skills in addition to the right strategy and prioritization. And last but not least: We have a proven track record of success with such projects many times before.
