Consultants with a passion
for sustainability and safety

We believe that respect for human rights is fundamental for our vision of a safe and sustainable society. Our commitment to respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions has been defined in our governing document called “The Proactima Way”. The conclusion from this year’s report was that we have not identified any actual detrimental effects on human rights or decent working conditions. We have identified some risk areas we want to work on to further reduce this risk. Read our report in accordance with the Transparency Act here.

In 2022 and 2023, we performed a gap analysis of our own management system and internal guidelines against the requirements of the Transparency Act. We have identified where updates and new guidelines are needed. In 2022, we updated our code of conduct, which is included in our governing document “The Proactima Way”, to ensure compliance with human rights and decent working conditions, as defined by the Transparency Act. Proactima’s chief executive officer, together with the board, is ultimately responsible for making sure Proactima complies with this policy and for establishing processes to ensure comprehensive risk management in relation to human rights and decent working conditions. In 2023, we will establish a process to ensure that Proactima does not get involved in any projects where actual negative consequences, or risk of human rights violations, could arise. Beyond this, we will carry out continuous risk assessments in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Companies, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) and follow up on our business associates and suppliers to make sure they do the same.

Pursuant to Section 6 of the Transparency Act, any person has, upon written request, the right to information from an enterprise regarding how the enterprise addresses actual and potential adverse impacts from human rights violations. This includes both general information and information relating to a specific product or service offered by the enterprise.

Proactima opposes corruption in all forms, and we are committed to operating in accordance with the high ethical standards reflected in The Proactima Way. Proactima complies with all relevant laws that prohibit bribery and corruption. We expect all employees, partners and anyone we do business with to act with honesty and integrity.

Proactima will comply with all relevant anti-money laundering laws. Money laundering is the act of hiding proceeds from criminal activity by disguising their illicit origins. Proceeds from criminal activity do not only include money, but all forms of assets, property and intellectual property originating from criminal activity.

Proactima respects and supports fundamental human rights and workers’ rights, as defined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Proactima promotes a safe and healthy working environment, focused on binding standards for health, safety and environmental work (HSE), pay, working hours and employment conditions. We protect people from harm by applying risk management principles. A focus on safety and protection is at the core of all of our disciplines, where we promote risk-mitigating measures, both internally in our own organization and in assignments from customers.

Proactima does not tolerate fraud in any form. We expect that our employees refrain from participating in any fraudulent activity for the benefit of themselves, Proactima or others.

Proactima believes in fair and open competition, and we operate in accordance with relevant competition and antritrust laws. We will not engage in or tolerate anyone who engage in anti-competitive arrangements, such as price fixing, bid rigging, market sharing, the exchange of competitively sensitive information or misuse of market power.
